There still isn't much going on right now.

Isn't that sad?

    Fried Food Friday?

" Despite their recent accolades, La Maison d’Isabelle hasn’t raised the prices of their award-winning baked goods. The legendary croissants are still just €1 each, making it easy for just about anyone to fit into their budget. "

  • Of course, no matter how hard I tried, there was a lot of food – street food especially – that I wanted to but didn’t get a chance to eat. I did however eat fresh fruit from the street-side markets at every opportunity, which at a flat 20 baht per bag (unless you’re in the touristy areas) would be a bargain, even if it weren’t some of the best and freshest fruit I’ve ever had. The pineapples were of course a favourite, but I also discovered a love for papaya, as well as green mango dipped in chilli and salt. Another thing I ate constantly was mango sticky rice, and found to my surprise that I really loved durian, after trying the durian variation. Unfortunately I only managed to get the fresh stuff once but hey, it’s better than nothing right? Anyway, to wrap things up: if it isn’t clear by now, Bangkok really is an absolute mecca for cheap, amazing food at every street corner. We ate so much good food, many of it at a price-point low enough to rival what you find under couch cushions. Go ahead and shell out on good accommodation or something, because I can guarantee that you’ll eat like royalty for less money than you can possibly imagine.

    Lune Croissanterie, Darlinghurst
The Sydney debut of Melbourne’s famed Lune Croissanterie has been a long time coming – but just last week, owner Kate Reid officially confirmed when it’ll be opening, and where we’ll find it. Lune Sydney will launch in Oxford & Foley, a new development on Oxford Street in Darlinghurst. Like its counterparts in Melbourne and Brisbane, Lune’s first Sydney venue will have a climate-controlled glass cube in which its bakers will exactingly create its pastries. Sydney customers can also expect outdoor seating, an iteration of Lune Lab – a degustation-style experience – and some Sydney-specific design touches. It’s slated to open in mid-2023.

Quote~ The Death and Life of Helicopter Commuting in NYC
Fifty years ago, a helicopter company called New York Airways whisked passengers from the rooftop of the iconic Pan Am Building in midtown Manhattan to any city airport in just 10 minutes. A fatal accident in 1977 brought that era to an end.

  • RAM shortage could last years 2026-04-20

According to Nikkei Asia, even as suppliers ramp up DRAM production, manufacturers are only expected to meet 60 percent of demand by the end of 2027. SK Group chairman has even said that shortages could last until 2030.

The world’s largest memory makers — Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron — are all working to add new fabrication capacity, but almost none of it will be online until at least 2027, if not 2028. SK opened a fab in Cheongju in February, but that is the only increase in production among the three for 2026.

Nikkei says that production would need to increase by 12 percent a year in 2026 and 2027 to meet demand. But according to Counterpoint Research, an increase of only 7.5 percent is planned.

The new facilities will primarily focus on producing high-bandwidth memory (HBM), which is used in AI data centers. With the companies already prioritizing HBM over general-purpose DRAM used in computers and phones, it’s not clear how much these new fabs will help alleviate the price crunch facing consumer electronics. Everything from phones and laptops, to VR headsets and gaming handhelds have seen price increases due to the RAM shortage.
