History is a pulse, and it goes like this. First there is a population that through luck, ingenuity, or hard work manages to find abundance of scarce resources, and the horn of plenty. Then, for a variety of reasons, some you could imagine easily, others not as clear, the population increases to a size greater than what can be sustained readily by their current resources. Then it happens: wars, famines, for whatever reasons plagues often follow, crop failures, tragedy, poverty, and death.
We are now at the largest population globally ever in recorded history, so now we look forward to, even with global management, collapse and tribulation.
